THE GRAND PALACE (HALF DAY TOUR)

Past residence of the Kings of Thailand, a must see for every visitor, and a visit includes the Temple of the Emerald Buddha at the center of which lies an image of the Buddha cut from a single piece of jade. A visit to the Royal Funeral Hall and the Royal Coronation Hall is also included.

PICK-UP TIME: 08:30 or 12:30 hrs.

 

BANGKOK CANALS AND TEMPLE OF DAWN

Cruise along the Chao Phraya River and canals of Thonburi, waterways on which the Thais are still very dependant upon for transporting goods and moving about. Colorful scenery and monitor lizards basking in the sun provide a visual feast. Enroute visit the Temple of Dawn, especially impressionable with it's imposing spire standing 70 metres high, decorated with shards of glass and porcelain.

BANGKOK CITY AND TEMPLES TOUR (HALF DAY TOUR)

The city's three most distinguished temples - Wat Trimitr with a solid gold Buddha weighing 5.5 tons, Wat Po, Bangkok's oldest temple housing the reclining Buddha and Wat Benchamabopit made of white Italian marble.

DAMNOEN SADUAK FLOATING MARKET (HALF DAY TOUR)

Assail the senses and put your bargaining skills to the test with a visit to this very chaotic and lively bit of Thailand. A trip down the 'khlongs' or canals will give you an insight into the traditional way of peddling ones wares from a flat boat.

RIVER KWAI TOUR WITH TREKKING (FULL DAY WITH LUNCH)

The 'Bridge Over the River Kwai' is a strong reminder of the struggles of WWII P.O.W and the lives lost during the construction of the infamous Death Railway. The trip includes a visit to the War Cemetery, Thailand-Burma Railway and a journey along the Death Railway on which you can take in the rugged terrain of the Kanchanaburi province, Thailand's 3rd largest.

AYUTTHAYA TOUR AND CRUISE (FULL DAY WITH LUNCH)

The ancient capital of Thailand and a UNESCO heritage site. Arrive at the Bang-Pa-In Summer Palace, a 17th century splendour with it's beautiful fusion of oriental and western style architecture. From there proceed to Ayutthaya to view some of the country's most interesting historical sites and then board the the River King Cruise ship for the return to Bangkok.
